Standard. The standard or registry in which the carbon project is registered. For instance, VCS, Gold Standard, CDM, etc.
Activity. The specific carbon emissions avoidance or removal activity of the project that leads to the project receiving carbon credits. For instance, an Ecosystem Conversation project such as REDD avoids emissions by preventing the trees in a forest from being cut down. In an Ecosystem Creation or Restoration project such as afforestation or reforestation, carbon is removed from the atmosphere and stored in the trees.
Geography. This represents the host country of the project, e.g., the country in which the project is implemented.
SDG. This represents the UN Sustainable Development Goals toward which the carbon project contributes. For instance, a REDD project that installs solar panels on villages within the forests covered by the project boundaries would be contributing to SDG 7.
